Leonard McDonald Burke
January 10, 1941 — April 10, 2016
Burke, Leonard McDonald, of O’Fallon, MO, died on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of 48 years to Barbara Burke; cherished son of the late Stephen and Ann Burke; devoted father of Elizabeth Anne Burke, Stephen Michael Burke, and Mary Bruening; dear father-in-law of Tammy Burke and Todd Bruening; and loving papa of Taylor, Madeline, Maranda, Jackson, Aidan, McKinley, and Reagan.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 27 years. Don’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made to the Five Acres Animals Shelter.
There will be a private graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
