Tate, Lela R., (nee: Turley), of St. Peters, MO, died on Monday, October 24, 2016, at the age of 87. Cherished daughter of the late Sherman Turley and Verbal Cope; devoted mother of Michael (Wanda) Tate and James (Tina) Tate; loving grandmother of Michael, Cory, August, and Mitchell; treasured great-grandmother of Griffin, Hudson, and Matea; dear brother of LT (Elizabeth) Turley; loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Lela was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Tate, and her siblings: Louis, Laura, Lonnie, Lola, and Lorene.
Lela’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
