Larry Dean Schock

April 12, 1941 — November 3, 2020

Larry Dean Schock, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the age of 79. Loving husband of 58 years Gwendolyn Schock; beloved son of the late Otto and Mary Schock; devoted father of Tina (Scott) Lowery, and Tammi (David Peeters) Kerley; cherished grandfather of Danielle Lowery, Kaitlyn Peeters; dear brother of Betty Salhus and Lilly. Larry is also preceded in death by his brothers, Chris, Jacob, Pete, Melvin, and James Schock; sisters, Maggie Schock, Donna Meland, Margie Taylor, Gloria Schock, and Irene Bubinski.

Larry worked for Bartch Roofing and retired from there after many years of service. He was a member of The Roofer Union Local #2. Larry loved to work outside in the yard, watch wildlife, and to hunt and fish. He was generous and selfless and enjoyed pleasing and making people happy. Larry loved to spending time with his beloved grandchildren. After retirement Larry worked with his wife with their business “Gwen’s Doghouse.” He loved pets, especially dogs, and his dear Parrot, Oscar. Larry loved kids and riding with them on his golf cart or riding lawnmower. Larry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Larry 's name to American Diabetes Association.
