Ken “Bobby” Ferguson, of Wentzville, MO, died on Sunday April 16, 2017, at the age of 74. Loving husband of 52 years to Johnna Ferguson; devoted father of Lauri Lynn (Duane) Francis, Tim Ferguson, Melissa (Tom Kruse) Ferguson, and K.C. (Ed) Barnett; cherished grandfather of Savannah, Megan, Kristin, T.J., Joey, Nigel, and Sydney.
A highly-educated man, and remembered by his children as “the smartest person they know,” Ken earned his BS and MS in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Missouri at Rolla and Rolla Extension Center, his MBA from University of Missouri at St. Louis, and his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University. He was a loving and supportive father and grandfather, who spent many years encouraging his children’s love of sports and the outdoors as they were growing up, taking them camping and providing whatever sports equipment their childhood called for. Ken loved to travel, especially his trips to St. Maarten with his wife, where he enjoyed scuba diving, snorkeling, and sailing. He had an endless love of life, was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s honor to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Email maftgk@yahoo.com for more details.
