Ken Dahl passed away on October 23rd, 2019. The most important thing in Ken’s life was Dottie, his high school sweetheart and wife of 63 years. Battling Alzheimer’s at the end, his only inexhaustible desire was to be near Dot. Ken graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Louis University and retired from executive staff at Union Electric after 45 years of service. He loved golf, his retirement golfing buddies, and making new friends at the Dogtown, Butthead, and other tournaments. He was a loving husband, a supportive father to four children, a lovable grandfather to eight grandchildren, a caring colleague, a talented athlete, a top notch beer taster, and a great Jitterbug partner. Ken and Dot were prior members of St. John’s United Church of Christ and Resurrection Lutheran Church in South St. Louis County.
Ken is predeceased by his parents, Grace and Walter R. Dahl; and brother Walter T. Dahl. Ken’s survivors include his wife, Dorothy; sister Virginia Hart; sons Ken M. (Donna) Dahl and Chris (Patty) Dahl; daughters Dee (Jeff) Barnett and Susan (Steve) Blase; eight grandchildren (David, Ashley, Michael, Sam, Jim, Corey, Allison and Grant); and great-grandchildren.
