Kathleen A. Steinlage, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at the age of 68. Beloved daughter of the late Aurelia Jenarose and Victor Kenneth Eisenbeis, Sr.; loving mother of Leslie A. (Eric) Trice and Brian D. (Megan) Steinlage; cherished grandmother of Blake V. Steinlage (Kimberly Silk); dearest great grandmother of Hunter Steinlage and Baby Girl Steinlage On-The-Way; dear sister of Cindy Herold, Mary (Robert) Stumpf, Kenneth (Kathy) Eisenbeis, the late Linda Eisenbeis-Walsh, and the late Philip Ryback.
Kathy was an amazing, kindhearted, quick whitted, generous, and loving Mother, Maw-Maw, Great Mee-Maw, Mother-in-Law, Sister and Friend. She loved with her entire heart and if she knew she was right about something she would debate it with you until you gave in or if Google proved her wrong, then she would say well Google does not know everything LOL.
She worked at the US Army Corps of Engineers for 32 years and loved every inch of her job and the people she worked with. She was also a City Council Woman for the City of Jennings and absolutely loved being a part of making the community a better place to live. She was a wealth of knowledge and told amazing stories, her family was everything to her and she made sure you knew that. She raised my brother and I on her own, made every sacrifice there was to make sure we had what we needed.
The Definition of a Mother is a Fierce Woman who cares selflessly, loves wholeheartedly proudly without reserve. My mother is this woman she was a rock we could lean on, a shoulder to cry on and she always made sure we knew she had our backs no questions asked, even when she probably should have asked a few questions. Women like her is what little girls grow up to idolize and inspire to be. I was truly blessed to be able to mold myself after her and call her mom, maw-maw and mee-maw. She is deeply missed.
Memorials may be made in Kathleen 's name to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Baue Funeral Homes does require all family members and guests to wear a mask while visiting our facilities. Social distancing is required, and guests should stay at least 6 feet apart. Thank you for your understanding.
