Karen Jean Austin (nee Spiess), of Florissant, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the age of 61. Loving wife of Mark Austin of over 30 years; beloved daughter of the late Donald and Lois Spiess; devoted mother of Angela (Kevin) Clifton, Christine (Daniel) Brown, and Andrew (Juri Lee) Austin; cherished grandmother of Isabelle, Maurissa, Bryson, Colton and Eleanor Jean. Karen is preceded in death by her sister, Terry Spiess.
Karen enjoyed shopping and cooking but spending time with her family most of all. She enjoyed creating traditions with her family at Christmas time and during the Fourth of July. She spent many years as a bartender at The Cats Meow. Karen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Karen's name to Humane Society of Missouri.
