Junie was born in St. Louis on May 13, 1943 and spend the majority of her childhood years with her fourteen brothers and sisters living in the city. She was a devoted mother to her children and step children and loved raising them all. Junie was a secretary at St. Ann Community Center for more than 20 years and was affectionately known as “Mac”. She loved her job and the people she worked with, and especially loved working with the senior citizens. She was passionate about decorating the community center for all holidays and special occasions. Junie was married to her loving husband and best friend Nicholas for 34 Years. She retired in 2008 and spent the next year traveling with Nick across the United States. She considered that year a special time in her life. Her favorite pastimes were shopping, especially hunting for bargains at thrift stores, dining out, spending time with family, and preparing, decorating and hosting big holiday gatherings. She had a wonderful sense of humor, could make anyone smile, and always had a compliment for people she met. In spite of her health issues she maintained a positive attitude and entertained us with her quick wit. She was fun, feisty, and very a unique person. She never missed an opportunity to let those close to her know how much she loved them. She will be forever loved, dearly missed and never forgotten.
