Judy Ann Newman

Judy was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 17, 1950. She passed away peacefully on September 26, 2019, at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. Snelson and Edna E. (King) Snelson, her brother, Robert D. Snelson and her sister, Bette S. (Snelson) Schmersahl.
Judy is survived by her brothers, John L. (Claudette), James E. and Jerry R. (Julie) Snelson, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and her best friend Mary Heffner, who helped her through difficult times and never forgot her during her long, difficult illness.
Judy grew up in North County and graduated from Berkeley High School in 1969. She traveled the country, working in a variety of enterprises, spending her years before retirement as a Customer Service Agent for Western Union. Judy was a beautiful person in body and spirit, a talented artist, adventurous and loyal to friends and family. She was an animal lover and advocate, rescuing numerous dogs, cats and birds during her life.
A brief memorial service will be held for friends and family at 2:00 PM, October 3, 2019, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO 63301. Visitation will precede the service at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s research, The Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
