Joye Darlene Trussell (nee Carlisle), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Ralph H. Trussell, Jr.; beloved daughter of the late A. L. and Clara Carlisle; devoted mother of Janice (Paul) May and Mike (Sussette) Trussell; cherished grandmother of Sarah (Dan) Bozzay and Brittany May; treasured great-grandmother of Reagan Bozzay and Henry Bozzay; dear sister Donald (Shirley) Carlisle. Joye is also preceded in death by her sister, Lilia (the late Bill) Jones; brother, Dale (the late Lenora) Carlisle.

Joye was a member of the Baue Widowed Group and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone for many years. Joye was a witness to the birth of United States Mission Defense. She loved animals and was a master quilter. Joye enjoyed working in the yard and liked British sports cars. She loved to watch and was a big fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Family meant everything to Joye, she was a very proud mother, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. Joye was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Joye's honor to Stray Rescue of St. Louis & Five Acres Animal Shelter.

    A very sweet lady who was a joy (Joye) to know. She would bring the most delicious desserts to potluck. Amazed me that she could not eat but loved to bake. She will be missed.

    Joye and I worked for many years together at McDonnell Douglas. Her family came first and she was very proud of their accomplishments.
