Joyce Elaine Brooks

Joyce Elaine Brooks of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away at the age of 74 on Thursday, June 18, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Brooks; her parents, Leo and Ida Stoehner; her sisters, Barbara Day and Dorothy Merlotti; and her sisters-in-law, Reba Shawver and Eva Bishop.

Joyce is survived by her children, Anthony “Tony” Wayne Brooks and Joetta “Jody” Lynn (Christopher) Martin; her grandchildren, Autumn Brooks, Bayley Brooks, Nicholas Martin, and Paige Martin; her sisters, Shirley Leistner and Margie Elmore; her brother-in-law, Don Day; her sister-in-law, Bev Bishop; and she was a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Joyce enjoyed being involved in her Bunco club, TOPS club, and Sunday School/Women’s Group at United Methodist Church and treasured the friendships she made. She also liked to travel, and looked forward to the exciting trips she took over the years to her favorite destinations. Joyce found comfort in the time she spent at her country home, “Oak Ridge Acres.” She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Joyce’s name may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
