Josephine “Josie” Lena Altmeyer

Josephine Lena Altmeyer (nee Santangelo), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 at the age of 74. Loving wife of Roger Altmeyer; devoted mother of Jill (Jerry) Symmonds, and Tammy Lopez; stepmother of Pam Smith, Chris (Randy) Feltmeyer, and Rog (Theresa) Altmeyer, Jr.; cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; dear sister of Joseph Santangelo; and friend to many. Josephine is preceded in death by her brother, Sam Santangelo.

Josephine was selfless, very caring and a giver, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed country and western music and line dancing. Josephine loved going to Ameristar, races and other casinos. She was the best cook and loved to cook for others. Josephine was a big fan and loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals. She liked to keep up everything going on in the news and politics. Josephine also loved to take road trips. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Josephine's name to American Cancer Society.
