Johnny Earl Campbell

October 12, 1945 — October 17, 2016

John Lightning Spirit Campbell, of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016, at the age of 71.  Loving husband of 42 years to Twila J. Campbell; beloved son of the late Marlin Campbell and Josephine Bell; devoted father of Bill (Debbie) Campbell, Jaime (Scott) Piechocinski, Johnny E. Campbell, Jr., Sabrina (Marty) Smyser, Corinna (Justin) Sheppard, and Karlee (Brett) Neisen; cherished grandfather of Brendan, Lindsey, Colin, Nicholas, Trevor, Logan, Marty III, Abram, Lola, Josiah, Luke, Mya, Ava, Emma, and Merle; dear brother of Roy (Raya) Krause, Donna (Dennis) Brown, Cherryl (Fred) Worthington, and the late Rayna (Larry) Farley.  John is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Lee Krause and his Granny Ethel.

John was a Boiler Technician and the CEO of Boi-Com, Inc.  He was a U.S. Navy Seabee, and served two tours of duty in Vietnam.  He was proud of his Cherokee and Choctaw heritage, and was a council member, and a Deputy Chief and Elder of the Northern Cherokee Nation of Missouri and Arkansas.  He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
