John W. Carey

John W. Carey of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Teresa "Tarri" A. Carey; cherished son of the late John R. and Elizabeth O. Carey; devoted father of Shawn M. Carey, Tim P. (Theresa) Carey, Kelly K. (Jason) Collinson, Scott Thebeau, Kelly (Bill) Martin, Shelly (Eric) Rios, and Matthew Thebeau; loving grandfather of Lily, Ryan, Dylan, Gabrielle, Drake, Evan, Andrew, Alex, Trace, Sam, Caleb, Josh, Faith, Hailey, and Hannah; treasured great-grandfather of Brody, Grayson, Juliana, and Emmitt; and dear brother of Robert (Donna) Werner, Joseph (Ruby) Werner, and Mary Carey. John was preceded in death by his granddaughter Abbigail Martin.

John proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Charles VFW Post 2866 and dedicated more than 27 years with the United Postal service before retiring as a Transportation Manager. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His great love for his family will be remembered. He was dearly loved in return and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
