John J. Ganahl, Jr.

Ganahl, Jr., John J., of Wentzville, MO, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the age of 79. Loving husband of 38 years to Dorothy Ganahl; beloved son of the late John J., Sr. and Mary A. Ganahl; devoted father of John J. Ganahl III, Debbie Carlson, Danny (Loan) Richardson, Terry (Judy) Richardson, James (Sharon) Richardson, and Keith Richardson; cherished grandfather of Heather, Amy, Bailey, Amber, Alex, Brian, Kristi, Michelle, Tommy, Laurie, and Linda; treasured great-grandfather of seven; dear brother of Maryann (Charles) Kramer, Susan (the late Charles) Walker, Thomas (Kathy) Ganahl, Jerry (Joyce) Ganahl, Ted (Jackie) Ganahl, and Cathy (John) McClure.

John proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1957-1961. John was a member of AOPA, Fraternal order of Police, CERT, and American Legion Post 101. John was a retired police officer, a member of Element Church in Wentzville and the St. Charles Amateur radio club. John also worked as a flight instructor, and a driving instructor. Mostly John loved being with his family and friends, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
