John Franklin Hefner, III

John Franklin Hefner, III of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at the age of 82. Beloved son of the late John Franklin, Jr. and Ruth Maud Hefner; devoted father of John Franklin (Kim) Hefner, IV, Darcy (Doug) Stevens, Michele Whayne, and Shara (Marty Wills) Hefner; cherished grandfather of Katlyn (Edward Ferguson) Hefner, Jordan Ramsay, Hoyte Hefner, and Eldon Wills; dear brother of Carole Dean (the late Gabor) Renner; dear uncle of Scott Renner and Clark Renner.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ and of the American Legion Post #0312. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to the Veterans Administration.
