Gerards, Joan Lillian (nee: Schroeder), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at the age of 81. Loving wife of 61years to Egidius “Wally” Gerards; beloved daughter of the late Alan and Felicia Schroeder; devoted mother of Diane (Don) Gerards-Benage, Donna Gerards, and Dawn (Douglas) Nance; cherished grandmother of Chase and Tatum Nance; dear sister of Glynn Schroeder.
Joan loved to golf, bowl, travel, and most of all spend time with her grandkids. She was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or a no kill animal shelter of donor's choice.
A private inurnment will take place at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
