Jerry Luck

June 6, 1944 — April 23, 2017

Luck, Jerry, of Hazelwood, MO, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the age of 72. Loving husband of Marcia Luck; beloved son of the late Aaron and Elda Luck; devoted father of Stacy Luck; dear brother-in-law of Gary Rahn, Nancy Shaw, and Clint (Karen) Cunningham; cherished uncle of Chris (Marlene Wise) Rahn, Brad (Jayne) Shaw, Diana Shaw, Blake Cunningham, and Brandon (Lauren) Cunningham; treasured great-uncle of Ethan, Alyssa, Norah, Carrah, Elly, and Maysi. He is preceded in death by his sister Janet Rahn and brother-in-law Gary Shaw.

Jerry had a life-long passion for cars, and as a self-taught master carburetor restorer, was highly regarded in his field. In his younger years he enjoyed drag racing, but gladly became a spectator after the birth of his cherished daughter. Among his many accomplishments, helping to build the Big Foot monster truck was one of the ones he was the proudest of. He also enjoyed rifle shooting, and was a member of the Benchrest Rifle Club of Wright City, where he was ranked among the very top in rifle shooting. He loved animals, especially his late cat and dog, Squeakie and Sarah, and he greatly enjoyed traveling, especially family vacations with his wife and daughter. His family meant the most to him, and he will be dearly remembered as a kind and loving husband and father. He was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
