Jerry D. Watson

Jerry D. Watson, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Bernice Watson; past husband of the late Carol Marie Watson; beloved son of the late Triss Van Watson and Pearlie Watson; devoted father of Vance Watson and Andrea (Russell) Lindsay; step-father of Michael (Char) Schulte and James (Laurie) Schulte; dear brother of Robert "Bob" Watson, Jack Watson, Gary Watson, Juanita, and Beautone Watson; cherished grandfather of Carleigh, Logan, and Aiden; step-grandfather of Coryn, Doug, Louis, B.J., Blake, Ricky, Dan, Tony, Adam, Kelsey, and Beau; treasured great-grandfather of Maeve, Max, William, Olvia, Winston, Grace, August, Jackson, Carson, Conner and Tori. Preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Watson; four brothers, Everett Watson, James "Jim" Watson, Louie “Pete" Watson, and Bill Watson.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ since 1976. Jerry was a teacher in the Ladue School District for 20+ years and was on the board for the Senior Center of O'Fallon, MO. He loved traveling and went to over 35 states. Jerry enjoyed photography and he was a photojournalist in the military. He coached softball, and even bought the Golden Triangle Ballpark. Jerry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jerry's honor to Grace United Church of Christ or the Alzheimer's Association.
