Jean Thompson of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on October 25, 2019, at the age of 90.
Jean was born in Belzoni, Mississippi, on May 11, 1929 to Spencer and Selina Cooley. She was raised in Lambert, Mississippi. She attended the University of Mississippi and became the first female to graduate with a BS degree in dietetics.
Jean then spent five years in the US Army. She specialized in treating Korean War POWs. Also she was on the medical team that treated General Jonathan Wainwright of World War II fame.
George and Jean were married in 1960. They had a special son, John, in 1961. They have been married fifty-nine great years. She also has one brother, Spencer, five nephews, and one niece.
Jean was a special wife and mother…she loved God, country, family, and friends. She will be missed.
