Jay Canada

Jay R. Canada, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, died on Tuesday March 28, 2017, at the age of 85. Loving husband of 63 years to Martha E. “Marty” Canada; beloved son of the late Lee Emerson and Hattie A. Canada; devoted father of Dennis (JoAnn) Canada, Richard (Anne) Canada, Susan Canada, and Janet (Dan) Murphy; cherished grandfather of seven; six step-grandchildren; treasured great-grandfather of Henry and Lila; dear brother of Tommy Canada, David Canada, Gary Canada, and Marilyn Davis. Preceded in death by his three brothers, Rodger Canada, Gregory Canada, and Paul Canada, and two sisters, Julanne Moyer and Sandra Moore.

Jay proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a St. Louis City Police officer for 30 years and retired as lieutenant. Jay restored and collected antique cars which was his true passion. He loved his black lab “Abby.” Jay was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
