Janet Lee Orf

Janet Lee Orf (nee Glass), of Saint Charles, MO, gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the age of 62.  She was a loving wife of nearly 42 years to Allen Rigg Orf; devoted mother of Jason (Janine) Orf and Allison Nichole (Greg Wilcox) Orf; cherished grandmother of Kendall, Alia, Austin and Adriana; dear sister of Larry (Carolyn) Herrin and David Glass; beloved daughter of the late Millard Leo and Eunice Pearl Glass; and is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear friends whom she loved immensely.

Anyone who knew Janet would describe her as one of the most selfless and loving people they had ever met. She would be the first to lend a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. She always put others before herself -she did not do this out of obligation, but simply because of the kind-hearted person she was. Family was the most important thing to Janet and decorating her home and cooking for holidays were some of the things she looked forward to most. Some of the best memories Janet had were the ones spent with her husband, children and large group of friends on vacations to the lake or nights playing games and cards. She was lovingly referred to as "Grammy" by her 4 grand-kids whom she adored and doted on. They loved to bake, do crafts, play card games and color together.

Janet was a fighter and an ovarian cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with SCLC last fall and in her true warrior-spirit, she fought the battle until the very end. Janet passed peacefully surrounded by her family that loved her immeasurably.




Memorials may be made in Janet 's name to Saint Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness or The December 5th Fund.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Janet's honor at a later date.
