James X. Flynn, Jr.

James X. “Jim” Flynn, Jr. of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the age of 87.  Loving husband of Audrey M. Flynn (nee: Greenemay); beloved son of the late James X. and Bertha Flynn, Sr.; devoted father of Susan (Charles) Magner, Carol (Kevin) Langford, James (Kate) Flynn III, and Robert (Kathy) Flynn; cherished grandfather of David Magner, Elyse Magner, Jared Magner, Lauren Langford, Jeffrey (Kelly Bickel) Langford, Kelly Flynn, Alexandra Dunn, Robert (Rachel) Flynn, Jr., Ewa Michalska, Anna Flynn, Monika Flynn, and Nikki Lammert; treasured great grandfather of Mason Knott, Kennedy Schuster, Jordan Lammert, Maya Gibson, Stella Flynn, and Leland  Flynn; dear brother of the late Ronald Flynn and the late Shirley Covert; dearest brother-in-law of Blanche Flynn; wonderful uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked as a lithographer, and retired after more than 40 years in the printing industry.  He enjoyed woodworking, and made beautiful bird houses for many family and friends.  He also like building furniture and other projects.  He traveled the country with his wife and family.  Jim was a friend to everyone, and he never knew a stranger.  He cherished spending time with his family.  He was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
