James Savant, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the age of 84. He was born September 11, 1932 in Hillsboro, Illinois to the late Sylvester and Mary Anice (nee Green) Savant. James married the love of his life, Jackie L. Whittaker on August 23, 1959. They spent 57 wonderful years together. Born to this marriage was one son, Kenneth J. Savant, who resides in O’Fallon, Missouri with his wife Laurie and two daughters, Nicole and Cassandra.
James served in the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer. He was later employed with McDonald Douglas as a Senior Budget Analyst for 39 years. After retiring from McDonald Douglas, he worked for Manhime Auto Auction for 20 years.
James was a long time member of Moose Club, Masons, Scottish Rite, Shriners and was past president of the Exclusive 100 Club. He was an avid motorcycle and auto racing enthusiast and enjoyed traveling, and dancing with his wife, Jackie. James was a member of St. Charles Presbyterian Church and served as a Stephen Minister. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
