James Robert Mueller

James Robert Mueller, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the age of 65. Jim was the loving husband of Joyce M. Mueller (nee: Van Dillen); beloved son of the late Robert and Dorothy Mueller; devoted father of Jason (Katie) Mueller and Daniel (Amanda) Mueller; cherished grandfather of Taylor James Mueller, Blake Daniel Mueller, and Savanna Rose Mueller; dear cousin of Pat Rothe, and Mike Rothe; and brother-in-law of Jim (Janet) Van Dillen, Ned Hurst, Nancy (Tom) Cavedine, Linda (Mark Meiners) Van Dillen, and Don (Rebecca Salas) Van Dillen.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Jim was preceded in death by his aunt, Margaret O'Brien; uncles, Roy (Margaret) Mueller and Richard (Dorothy) Mueller; father-in-law, mother-in-law, Lester (Rose) Van Dillen; sister-in-law, Sue Hurst; and great-nephew, Alex Seigel.

Jim earned his bachelor’s degree from UMSL and his MBA from Lindenwood College. He then went on to work for Schnucks for over 43 years, where he retired in 2014 as the Director of IT. Jim was a very charismatic person who loved to tell jokes and was great at telling stories. In his spare time, you could often find him washing his car or working in his yard. He also enjoyed throwing parties and having a good time with his family and friends. Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
