James “Jim” Laherty
March 22, 1946 — August 6, 2017
Laherty, James “Jim” of St. Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the age of 71. Beloved husband of 18 years to Merry Laherty; cherished son of the late Patrick and Theresa Laherty; devoted father of Brian Laherty, and Tina (Dyrek Merriweather) Meier;loving grandfather of Jillian Dodson, Allison Meier, and Gabby Greco; father-in-law of Colleen Greco; dear brother of Mary Cox; and brother-in-law of Mark (Angie) Hagemann. James is preceded in death by sons Kevin Laherty and Tony Greco, granddaughter Megan Meier, and brother Patrick Laherty.
James retired after more than 33 years dedicated to the United Parcel Service. He enjoyed golfing, telling stories, and relaxing at his retirement home in Naples, FL. He was known for wishing others “All the best!”. James was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made to Megan Meier Foundation in memory of his granddaughter.
