James “Jim” Anderson Plank

James “Jim” Anderson Plank, of O Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Monday October 16, 2017, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Wilma Plank; cherished son of the late James and Nora Plank; devoted father of Gary T. Travis, Wilburn L. "Leon" (Eva) Wright, Michael V. Plank, Kathryn (William) Dillon, the late John Preston Wright, and the late Jimmy Allen Plank; loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; dear brother of Carl and the late Edward, Orba, Reba, George May, Hazel, and Lorene. He was also survived by his loving canine companion, Kirby.

Jim was a carpenter for 50 yrs before retiring and a member of Carpenters Union Local 92. He will be remembered as a very sweet, kind and gentle man with a loving and soft heart. He enjoyed fishing and spending time in his garden and playing with his little dog, Kirby. But most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jim was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
