James “Jay” Robertson

February 25, 1932 — June 22, 2019

James “Jay” Lester Robertson, 87, born in Memphis, Tennessee and lived most of his life in North County St. Louis and St. Charles, MO, passed away June 22, 2019 surrounded by family. Jay is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice Jean (Sweet) Robertson, children Robyn (Craig) Hutchins, Dawn (Doug) Dunker and Darren Robertson, brother Richard (Marilyn) Robertson, grandchildren Michelle Hofmann, Dustin (Marilyn) Hofmann, Sr., Colin (Jess) Hutchins, Valerie Hutchins, Brianna Hutchins, William Hutchins, Alex Dunker and Allison Dunker, and great grandchildren Alyssa, Jamie, Madison, Dustin Jr., Rooney and Beatrice.

Jay proudly served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Jay was employed with Kroger Warehouse and various transportation companies in the 64 years of his career. He was a longtime member of Gateway Church of the Nazarene, and a member of UFCW Local 655. Jay loved to race cars in his younger years and took up bowling at the age of 81! Jay enjoyed watching TV and movies. He loved spending time with family, especially his wife, Janice. He was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, friend, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jay was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
