James Herbert Presson

January 13, 1950 — April 13, 2021

James Herbert Presson, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the age of 71. Loving husband of the late Ernestine “Ernie” Presson; beloved son of the late Herbert Lee and Doris Mae Presson; devoted father of Julie (Allan Henry) Presson, Jonie Presson, and his late infant son, Jared Presson; cherished grandfather of Tiffany (Cody) Troxel, Codi Davis, Kaleb (Hilary) Davis, Serena Mason, Semira Mason, Syrus Mason, Brendan Rainbolt, and Shaun Mason; treasured great-grandfather of Tyson Troxel, Fynnleigh Troxel; dear brother of Sharon (Bud) Kaufman and Curt (Judy) Presson.  James is also survived by Ernie's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who he cherished as his family, as well as his beloved dog, Mandi.

James retired after more than 40 years in the automotive industry as a machinist.  He loved working with his hands and truly enjoyed going to work every day.

As a man who enjoyed the great outdoors, James had a great passion for fishing.  He looked forward to the beauty of nature and camping outdoors, and he was happy anywhere he could find a spot.  He would frequent Lake Seven Falls out towards Bonne Terre, Missouri.  He cherished the time he spent with his family on these camping and fishing trips.

Family was very important to James, and he loved to cook and grill for everyone. He also enjoyed visiting his family and traveling to attend grandchildren's events.  He and his wife liked to take drives just to get out and see the scenery.  As a NASCAR enthusiast, James loved the fast pace of the races, and he even got to travel to see Talledega, Bristol, and Dover.

James was the nicest, sweetest, most caring person you could ever meet.  He lived a good life and now he has "Gone Fishin’" and is with his sweety once again.  James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
