J. A. Tallis L. “Red” Ryon of St. Charles, Missouri died January 31, 2020 at the age of 81. Tallis or “Red” as a lot of people would call him, was born June 7, 1938 in Leachville, Arkansas to Ralph and Pauline Ryon.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife, Amy "Doris" Ryon, three brothers, three sister in-laws, one sister and four brother in-laws.
Loving father and father in-law to Jeff and daughter in-law Kanda, three sisters, five brother in-laws, four sister in-laws, three grandchildren, two great granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews and a boat load of friends.
Red was a jack of all trades with the skill of a “Risco Rigger” as some of his family would say. If you knew Red, he always put God first, his wife second and his family, friends and food third. Growing up as a young man, Red farmed the fields in Risco, Southeast Missouri, share cropping with his family. He met his wife, Amy in the 1950’s and they were married March 29, 1959. In 1960 they had their daughter, Teresa, and in 1964, moved to St. Louis. In September of 1964, Red got a job at Ford Motor Company and in February of 1965, had his son, Jeff. In 1966, Red bought the family home where they lived for 54 years together.
Red was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, that is dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
