Ima Jean Gaines

Ima Jean Gaines of St. Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Goldie Maupin; her son, James Dyer; and her brother and sister, Richard Maupin and Doris House.
Ima Jean is survived by her children, Anita (Butch) Lee, Amy Norwood, and Steven P. (Suzanne) Gaines; her brother, Bill (Virginia) Resimius; and her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Ima Jean retired from her position as a waitress at The Wishing Well restaurant after a 35-year career. She loved to travel and did as much of it as she could. The St. Louis Cardinals were Ima Jean’s favorite team and she enjoyed cheering them on whenever they played. Ima Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions in honor of Ima Jean may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
