Helena Ida Boschert (nee Philipps) of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the age of 84.
Beloved wife of the late Raymond Boschert; cherished daughter of the late Henry and Effie Philipps, Sr.; devoted mother of, Rodney (Carol) Boschert, Jean (Tim) Ehmler, David (Donna) Boschert, Jim (Debbie) Boschert, Karen (Steve) Gilkey, and Paul (Jodi) Boschert; loving grandmother of Melinda (Scott) Dillon, Carissa (Jesse) Baumann, Jessica, Krista, Maria Ehmler, Ben Boschert, Andrew (Payton) Boschert, Nathan Boschert, Shawn (Peggy) Belt, Shelby Prevost, Kelsey Boschert, Lauralee (Tony) Nelson, Kendall and Cole Gilkey, Phillip & Mark Cooley, and Christopher Boschert; treasured great-grandmother of Oliver, Jesse, Miya, and Rheanna; dear sister of Vernon (Mildred) Philipps. Helena is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her brothers Henry Philipps, Jr., Fred Philipps,and her sister Evelyn Gerdts.
Helena was a long-time member of St. Peters Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 4219. She was a very active grandmother, she liked to cook and bake for her family and friends. Helena enjoyed embroidery and quilting, especially working on the Quilts of Valor. She also loved watching Cardinals Baseball, Mizzou Basketball, and in her spare time she liked to visit the casinos. Helena was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
