Hazel Frances Lombardo

Hazel Frances Lombardo (nee Hess), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late George F. Lombardo; beloved daughter of the late Edward and Nellie Hess; devoted mother of Diane (Bob) Wamhoff, Fran (Dennis) Gusky, Laura (Jerry) Byram, Mary (Jim) Marschel, Patrice (Mike) Hagan, George (Sue Stayton) Lombardo, Sue (Milt) Windes, and Cheryl (Craig O’Leary) Boyer; cherished grandmother of eleven; treasured great-grandmother of fourteen; dear sister of Grant Hess; Hazel is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Hazel is preceded in death by her grandson, Timmy Ellison; granddaughters Lexy Boyer and Tia Stayton; sisters Cleo Dooley and Joyce Kemp.

Hazel attended Morning Star Church. She was an avid reader, detailed seamstress, and loved crafting. Hazel also thoroughly enjoyed decorating and shopping. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hazel’s name to Morning Star Church for Backpack Impact, which supports feeding programs in local schools.
