Greig T. Carr

February 27, 1942 — December 9, 2020

Greig T. Carr of O’Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 78 on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Greig was preceded in death by his parents, George and Celia Carr.

Greig is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Susan Carr; his children, Susan (Jeff) Sams, Gerald Carr,  Deanne (Robert) Zuch, and Paul (Cyndi) Carr; his grandchildren, Josiah (Mary) Carr, Danielle Sams, Brendan Sams, Jay Zuch, Marina Zuch, and Carter Zuch; and his siblings, Sharon Perkins, Kenneth Carr, and Marvin Carr.

Greig was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and later maintained involvement with the VFW Post 2866. After retirement, he enjoyed being a volunteer fire fighter for the Lakeview Arkansas District. Always putting family and friends first, Greig was happy when spending time with his loved ones at gathering and family reunions. His big heart and love of making others smile made it so he was always a joy to be around, especially during the holidays when he would be Santa Claus. For fun, Greig enjoyed playing card games like Rummy or Pinochle and traveling. His travels saw him scuba diving, boating, camping, and traveling across most of the United States and internationally with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial contributions in Greig’s name may be made to USO and Scott Airforce Base Military Family Support Organization.
