Gerardo Vigna, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Martha J. Vigna (nee Jimenez); cherished son of the late Gaetano Luigi and Assunta Vigna; devoted father of Luigi G. Vigna and John A. (fiancée Aylin Ortiz) Vigna; loving grandfather of Victoria Vigna and Gianni Vigna; dear brother of Mary (the late Gino) Scarcella, Frank (Deanna) Vigna, Gina (Biagio) Granata, Rosetta Vigna and the late Alfonso (Jeanette) Vigna; brother-in-law of Elsa (Daniel) Antoniades, Lourdes Jimenez Carcoba, the late Carmen Maguire and the late Irma Jimenez Carcoba; Jerry is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jerry immigrated from Italy at the age of 18 to join his family and later served in the US Army. He was introduced to his wife by her sister and they were married for 54 years. Jerry was very well loved as a sales consultant in the beauty industry for over forty years. When he retired, in 2002, his clients and former employer kept asking him to return. He enjoyed golfing and took that up “full-time” along with fishing. Jerry had a green thumb and grew the very best tomatoes and had the biggest Fig Tree. He was a very good cook and could be very inventive, but it always turned out delicious. Spending time with family was most important to him. Jerry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Jerry’s name to
American Cancer Society or
Alzheimer's Association.
