Geraldine “Gerry” Schoene
February 18, 1931 — August 16, 2018
Schoene, Geraldine “Gerry” (nee Schaeffer) from St. Charles, Missouri fell asleep in Jesus’ arms on August 16, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Irvin “Dode” Schoene and dear daughter of the late Clarence and Radell Schaeffer. She will forever be remembered by her children Joyce (Alan) Pohlman, Mark (Debbie) Schoene, Cathy (Dave) Strittmater, and Christy (Mike) Farr; her 13 grandchildren Kari, Mark, Scott, Lauren, Emily, Michael, Dan, Matt, Meredith, Alyse, Allison, Alex, Andrew and 16 great-grandchildren. Her siblings Dennis (Ginny) Schaeffer, Walt (late Jean) Schaeffer, Bud (Joan) Schaeffer, Mart (late Bob) Baronovic, Norb (Jo) (the late Toni) Schaeffer, Dave (Jean) Schaeffer and Mary Ann (late Felix) Baz-Dresch and countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. Gerry’s interests included water aerobics with her special “Y” friends, bus trips, dominoes, cards and spending time with her kids and grandkids. Gerry was the first lay teacher at St. Peter Catholic grade school and sold Avon for over 40 years where she made life-long friends. She also was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 823 and a faithful member of St. Cletus Catholic Church. Gerry touched the lives of all she met with her humble, kind and caring ways. She looked for the good in everything and everyone. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or Duchesne High School.
