George M. Mason, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, at the age of 93. Beloved husband for sixty years of the late Norma Jean Mason (nee Dobberthein); cherished son of the late John F. and Zeta C. Mason; devoted father of Cris Mason and Mike Mason; loving grandfather of Timothy (Andrea), Megan (Donny), Tom (Nicole), and Selene; treasured great-grandfather Jake, Mason, Molly, Alexa, Brayden, Lucy, and Henry; and dear brother of Jean.
George proudly served his country in the US Navy - Naval Armed Guard during World War II. He was a member of the O’Fallon American Legion Post 388. George was ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) was Pastor Emeritus of the Clifton and Hartford Churches in Iowa, and was a Missionary in Venezuela. He touched many lives, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made to Dardenne Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
