George I. de Becze, Jr., of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018, at the age of 76. Loving husband of 49 years to Ann de Becze; beloved son of the late George I., Sr., and Ilonka de Becze; devoted father of Joanna de Becze, Monica (Kevin) Sirop, and Vanessa de Becze; cherished grandfather of Kyle Sirop, and Juliana Sirop; step-grandfather of Garrett Ives; dear brother of Clara (Peter) Szucs, and Rosemary Brooks. George was preceded in death by his infant son, Christopher.
George proudly served in the U.S. AirForce during the Vietnam War. He retired after more than 30 years with McDonnell Douglas/Boeing as a computer engineer. He was dedicated to his faith and served as a lector at St. Peter Church for 30 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Through the years, George enjoyed archery and riding his bike around St. Charles and on the Katy Trail. He looked forward to family vacations and trips to the beach in Florida. If he wasn’t meticulously taking care of the lawn, he could be found in the basement messing around on his computer. In his spare time, George liked to take in a game at Busch Stadium to watch the St. Louis Cardinals play. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
