Gary Allen Hebert of O Fallon, MO, died on Monday August 8, 2016, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Nancy (Kurowski) Hebert; cherished son of Arthur and Frances Hebert; devoted father of the late Terry Hebert and his daughter Cayla Rodell, Tim (Gretchen) Hebert and their children, John and Steven Hebert of Fort Collins Colorado and Tami (Josh) Burgard, and their children, Caleb, Luke, Mark, and Lucy Burgard of Cape Girardeau Missouri; dear brother of Bob (Roylene) Hebert, Jean (Bob) Safranski, Joanne Lemke, Debbie (Dale) Severson, Dale (Becky) Hebert, and Scott Hebert.
Gary is also preceded in death by his son, Terry Hebert, and brothers, Michael Hebert and Roger Hebert.
Gary worked for the Phone Company in Wentzville prior to starting his own business with his wife Nancy, until the time of his death. Gary was a member of the St. Barnabas Catholic Church in O’ Fallon, Missouri. He served as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and Leader of the Fall Festival. These were only a few of the ways he shared his gifts and talents with others. Gary was a very devout man with strong faith.
Gary was extremely motivated and had the gift to motivate others. Always encouraging. He was a member of Toastmasters, a wonderful public speaker. He proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years. He continued his patriotism as a member of the Argyle American Legion Post #0353. He was involved in many activities. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed the neighborhood poker parties.
Gary was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He always made everyone feel valued and loved. To Gary family was his first priority. Gary’s greatest joy came from giving the very best of himself to each of his children and grandchildren. Gary enjoyed coaching his kid’s sports teams. He always saw the gold in his grandchildren and he made sure that each one knew just how truly special and amazing they are. Gary was also a beloved brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend of many. He was cherished and loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Memorials may be made to Masses, CYC, or St. Vincent de Paul through St. Barnabas Catholic Church.
