Fumiko “Shorty” Huskey, age 88, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017. She was born April 18, 1929 to the late Ukua and Tatsusi Kitsuki in Fukuoka, Japan where she later married the love of her life, the late Walter Huskey, Jr. on June 19, 1949 in Japan.
Fumiko is survived by her loving children, Bobbie Lehnhoff (John), Theodore “Ted” Huskey (Phyllis), Donald J. Huskey (Jo), and Glenn Huskey (Janet); beloved grandchildren, Carrie, Amy, Stacey, Michael, Stephanie, Donald E., Andrea, Drew, Blake, Benjamin, and Brooke Huskey; treasured great-grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon, Anna, Devon, Molina, Mya, Dshawn, Heidi, Holly, Evelyn, and Whitlee; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Richard Huskey (Linda); two brothers, and two sisters.
Fumiko was a member of Fairmount General Baptist Church. She worked in ARA Services at McDonald Douglas for many years before retiring as a housekeeper at McDonald Douglas. She was known and loved by many, as she made friends with anyone whose path she crossed. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. Fumiko was also very artistic, showing her talents in a variety of crafts such as oil paintings, pastels, and needle point. Most of all, Fumiko adored the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
