Florence “Flo” Estes

Florence “Flo” Estes (nee: Thoele), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Melvin K. Estes; cherished daughter of the late Frank Thoele and the late Lillian and Albert Koester; devoted mother of the late Clarence Rodney Estes, the late David Estes, and the late William Willis; loving grandmother of Michelle (Matthew) Schwolert, Michael Estes, Matthew (Paige) Smith, and Will (Melissa) Willis; and dear sister of Loretta (the late Chester) Dillon. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Terry Estes and many other loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and many friends.

Flo was also preceded in death by her siblings, Elvira (Harvey) Estes, Melvin Thoele, and Vernon (Martha) Thoele and daughter-in-law, Paula Estes.

Flo was a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. In her free time, she enjoyed sitting outside on her porch visiting with neighbors, playing bingo, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Flo will be remembered for her unconditional love and kindness. She was deeply loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
