Esther M. Swagman

Esther Swagman (nee Kruse), of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at the age of 87. Loving wife of the late Cletus John Swagman; beloved daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Catherine Marie Kruse; devoted mother of Bob (Rhonda) Swagman, Jim (Pat) Swagman, Larry (Lisa) Swagman, and Mary (David) Wilmes; proud grandmother of Jon Swagman, Ben Swagman, April Swagman-Hall, Brandon Swagman, Chad Swagman, Katy Pieper, Kristen Stamulis, Kara Nelson, Austin Swagman, Alyssa Abbott, and Abby Wilmes; treasured great-grandmother of Zack, Zoey, Tyler, Anderson, Evan, Miles, and Avery; cherished sister of Joan Krekeler, Jackie Mueller, Henry (Kathy) Kruse, and Lois (Dallas) Hamilton; and dear sister-in-law of Ruth Hallemeier and Charles Halter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Kathleen Cook, Ethel Cochran, Pat Schone, Dorothy Garey, and Elmer Kruse.

Esther was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and visiting with her friends. Most of all, Esther enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
