Estelle M. Hammond

Estelle M. Hammond (nee Greenfield) of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday March 10, 2018, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Paul E. Hammond; cherished daughter of the late Jacob Greenfield and Betty Kalmes; devoted mother of Jean Williams, Marion Strickland, James "Bo" Griffin, Douglas Griffin, Susan Griffin, Jeffrey Griffin, Sherry Kilgore, Paul Hammond, Lisa Haden, Tamara Roth, and the late Terrie Griffin Sutton; dear sister of Arlene Greenfield; treasured cousin of Ronnie (Barbara) Platke. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Estelle was a devoted and loyal friend and could always be counted on to provide support and help to those she loved. And boy was she a wonderful cook! Her brisket was especially enjoyed by all, and she enjoyed making delicious food for her family. She loved racehorses and was blessed with particularly good luck. She and her husband Paul, were best friends and were blessed with over 40 years of marriage. Estelle was dearly loved and will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved her.
