Erma C. Lawrence

Erma Lawrence, of St. Charles, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the age of 91. Devoted mother of Priscilla (Robert "Larry") Schmidt, Phyllis (James) Sledge, and Sandra (Ken) Haupt; cherished grandmother of Pamela (Michael) Oslund, Jeffrey Schmidt, Jason, Kayla, and Amy Haupt; loving aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt and sister in-law. She is preceded in death by her husbands Lloyd Lawrence and Emil Nowack; her parents Henry Bock and Hermina Bock; her siblings Elsie Gevermuehle, Alma Fetter, Helen Wehmeyer, and Ervin Bock. She was a loving wife, mother and wonderful homemaker. Erma was a longtime member of St. John United Church of Christ and was active in the Birthday and Sewing Clubs, as well as numerous other committees and activities. She loved pinochle and participated in several clubs. Erma was honored in the Northwest Community Action Corporation's Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Erma enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, family gatherings, and spending time in her garden. She had an adventurous personality who loved to travel and experience what life had to offer. Erma's philosophy was to "help others and keep busy".
