Elizabeth “Betty” Zidzik, of St. Charles, MO, formerly of Saddlebrook, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the age of 89. She was the loving wife of 60 years to the late George Patrick Zidzik, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Frank and Anna Lesko; devoted mother of Virginia (Robert) Ray, Catherine Cook, the late George Patrick Zidzik, Jr., and mother-in-law of Ernestine Zidzik; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth (Mike) Nelson, Christine Burnett, Michelle (Doug) Huddleston, Patricia (Mark) Fontana, George (Annetta) Zidzik III, David (Erin) Zidzik, Kenneth Ray, Ryan (Katie) Cook, and Caitlin Cook; treasured great-grandmother of 15; loving great-great grandmother of 3; and dear sister of Margaret Piazza and the late John Lesko. Betty is also survived by many other extended family members and numerous friends.
Betty worked for IBM for over 30 years before retiring as a Manager in 1987. She was a very active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Cottleville, the St. Charles VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the St. Charles American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Betty was a social butterfly who enjoyed any excuse to go out and spend quality time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her outgoing & talkative nature and her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone about absolutely anything. Betty loved people and has touched many lives in her 89 years. She will truly by missed by all of her family and friends.
