Effie Lorraine McDonell of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, January 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas J. McDonell; her parents, Leonard and Lora McCulloch; and her siblings, Leonard, Ethel, Virginia, Pearl, Ruby, Betty, Louella, E. Frances, Hazel, Melvin, and Erwin McCulloch.
Effie is survived by her children, Catherine Compton, Michael (Darlene) McDonell, Joan (Loren) Storey, Patricia (Ken) Sarne, Jennifer Conklin, Lora Sparkman, and Andrew (Karen) McDonell; her grandchildren, Shannon (Jon) Beahan, Justin (Kayla) Compton, Brianne (Slyade Martin) Compton, Justin McDonell, Emily McDonell, Kimberly (Graham) Chronister, Kristine (Josh) Bachler, Katherine (Dan) Bond, Michael (Keiw) Storey, Jason (Jennifer) Sarne, Alan (Kayla) Sarne, Kevin (Holly) Sarne, Aaron Trudo, Zachary (Tiffany) Trudo, William Conklin, Ryan (Sydney) Sparkman, Bailey Sparkman, Patrick Sparkman, Adam McDonell, Allison McDonell, Taylor McDonell, and Lindsay McDonell; her great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Brooke, Grace, Reiss, Caden, Lucas, McKenna, Andy Mack, Ashley, Makenzie, Ashton, Jordan, Diana, Riley, Aiden, Christian, Jayden, Levi, Kenneth, Madeline, Nicholas, Connor, Ellie, Harper, Alexander, Weston and Grayson; her great-great-grandchild, Kendrick; and her sister, Jesse Pauline Lucero.
Family was always at the center of Effie’s heart and she always treasured the time she spent with her loved ones as well as the memories they all made together over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
