Dr. Thomas “Tom” Bick, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the age of 76. Loving husband of 34 years to Judith Bick; beloved son of the late Vincent and Rosemary Bick; devoted father of Tami Bick-Hohenstein, Thom Bick, Ben (Kimi) Azerolo, Nikki (Keith) Azerolo-Held, and Jonathan (Jessie) Bick; cherished grandfather of Megan (Joe) Gregory, Jessica (Dom) Hohenstein, Emma Hohenstein, Hannah Hohenstein, Kazi Azerolo, and Eli Held; dear brother of Vincent Bick, Mary Ellen Schulte, and Timothy Bick; and is also survived by his sister-in-law and special friend, Linda Schmersahl.
Tom had a passion for education and was the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services at the Hazelwood School District, where he worked from 1971 to 2004. He was the coordinator for the Hazelwood School District PTA Scholarship Run/Walk for 20 years. During which time over $1,000,000 was raised for students. Tom received his Doctorate from Saint Louis University and his Masters from UMSL. He attended Spring Hill College for his undergraduate. At Spring Hill he followed his passion for playing basketball and was selected All American player of the year. Tom was a dear family man, always giving, and taking care of others. He was instrumental in the development of Character Education for the state of Missouri through Cooperating School Districts (EdPlus). Tom loved to travel and was a friend to anyone he met. He was dearly loved and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
