Dorothy L. Renken

Dorothy L. Renken (nee Amrein), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Carleton “Cotty” Renken; beloved daughter of the late Clifford and Florence Amrein; devoted mother of Karen (Dr. Reggie) Anderson, Cindy (Dennis) Stone, and Dale (Sharon) Renken; proud grandmother of Kristen (David) Kernaghan, Ashley (Dan) Gallun, Julia (Caleb) Chapman, David (Ashley) Anderson, Brittany (Brock Hunnell) Ford, and Tara (Will Hutson) Ford; treasured great-grandmother of Carter, Callum, Noble, and Olive; adored sister of Ann (Don) Scheller and the late Dr. Roy Amrein; and dear sister-in-law of Sharon Amrein and Earl and Gaylene Renken.

Dorothy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, The Birthday Club, and several bridge clubs. She was also a lifetime member of Bogey Hills Country Club. Dorothy was also active in the Women’s Wednesday Morning Bowling League at Plaza Lanes. She enjoyed making wooden crafts, sewing, golfing, dancing, listening to music, and playing the organ. She enjoyed life and helping others. Dorothy dedicated her life to raising her 3 children and teaching them to love and serve others. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
