Dorothy L. McKanna

Dorothy L. McKanna (nee Tell), of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the age of 98. Loving wife of the late William H. McKanna, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Herman and Anna Tell; devoted mother of Ruth (Neil) Kelly, Thomas (Laura) McKanna, Mimi (Lou) Llewellyn, Patricia Mueller, Debbie (Wayne) Mallow, and William (Pam) McKanna Jr; cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of many; dear sister of Ronnie (Bill) Richter, and Robert (Rose) LaBeau. Preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Cheney; and brother, Norman Kearney.
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Peters and taught Sunday School into her 90's. She was bold in her faith and very patriotic. Dorothy was a big fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. She also volunteered at hospitals for many years and learn to read programs. Dorothy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dorothy's name to Disabled American Veterans.
