Doris J. Volle

Doris J. Volle (nee Cox) of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away on Thursday August 16, 2018, at  the age of 77. Cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Fay Cox; beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Volle, and by first marriage the late Curtis Rodewald; devoted mother of Rick (Brenda) Rodewald, Shelly (Kermit) Watkins, and Jason (Jennifer) Volle; loving grandmother of Derick Rodewald, Matthew (Jackie) Rodewald, Mariah (Adam) Meece, Zachary Watkins, Mickayla Watkins, Breanna Watkins, Amera Watkins, Jacob Volle, and Jaycee Volle. She was preceded in death by her daughter Vicky Rodewald, her sister Lois (Red) Bates, and her brother Roland Cox. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Doris was a much beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She enjoyed going shopping and enjoyed traveling to Nashville and Branson. She liked giving special gifts to her grandchildren and will be remembered for her wonderful cooking, especially her famous deviled eggs and potato salad. Doris’ family was her greatest joy, she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
